360i #FuelGood Team Goes the Extra Mile to Support West End Residences

December 17, 2015

This past fall, a team of 30 passionate 360i’ers completed their #FuelGood challenge to raise over $3,500 in support of West End Residences – a local organization providing temporary and permanent housing for some of New York City’s most vulnerable populations.

#FuelGood is an employee-initiated program designed to help our agency get more physically active while supporting deserving causes. The program, which was named after the Nike Fuelbands that were originally used to track progress in NikeFuel points, has helped our teams raise thousands of dollars over the past couple years for nonprofits including She’s the First and Achilles International.

In an effort to allow employees with a variety of fitness goals to participate in the latest challenge, team members were asked to determine their personal goals – from walking to work to running a marathon – at the start of the challenge and to track their progress with weekly check-ins over the weeks to follow.

Through the team raised funds 360i will be supporting West End Residences, including:

Intergenerational Residence, which houses close to a hundred individuals and is the only residence of its kind in New York to offer housing for three different generations – formerly homeless mothers and their children, as well as low income seniors. This particular residence offers a Women’s Empowerment program, headed by a Clinical Social Worker, which helps to give mothers the life skills needed to become self-sufficient. Daycare and enrichment activities are also provided for children.

True Colors Residence & True Colors Bronx, the first nonprofits in New York City to provide permanent supportive housing to formerly homeless LGBTQ young adults. Residents receive case management and independent living assistance, including support while they search for jobs.
