SMW13: Connect with 360i Over Content & Startups

February 13, 2013

Social Media Week returns Feb. 18-22, with eleven cities worldwide participating to explore the social, cultural and economic impact of social media. We’re thrilled to participate once again by hosting two sessions (described below) that are free and open to the public. Session spots will go quickly – be sure to reserve yours today!

Content Marketing Boot Camp for Brands – #SMWContent

We’re kicking off #SMW13 with a discussion on what it takes to be an effective content creator and curator in the digital age. Content marketing is top of mind and yet a significant number of brands (62 percent to be exact) do not have a specific strategy in place to capitalize on this opportunity.

In this workshop, 360i Senior Strategist Rosie Siman will share content marketing best practices and present case studies from Fortune 500 brands. Following the presentation, attendees will complete exercises in developing effective content marketing strategies – from content development, to syndication & distribution, to optimization.

Key Takeaways

    1. How should I go about creating content?
    2. How can I make my content more relevant?
    3. What kind of people within my organization should I involve in the process?
    4. Who’s doing it well and what can I learn from them?

Technology, Advertising & Startup Council (TASC) – #SMWTASC

The Technology, Advertising & Startup Council (TASC) will make its Social Media Week debut with a special panel event hosted by 360i. TASC fosters collaboration between startups and Madison Avenue, exploring best practices for startups partnering with brands and fostering an open dialogue among key stakeholders from both sides. Started in September 2012, the committee includes senior executives from 360i, Anthem Worldwide, Deep Focus and The Media Kitchen who come together to educate startups on how to partner with brands by developing and conveying their point of differentiation amid a sea of competitors.

During this session, all four TASC founders, including 360i’s David Berkowitz, will participate in an engaging discussion, publicly soliciting startups to share five pressing questions they want agency executives to answer – what really matters – and yet what no one else will answer. The questions will be detailed on the screen for the audience to view, and each seasoned panelist will take on questions one by one, providing honest, candid answers. This will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.
