A&E Network Debuts Social Centerpiece at #CriticsChoice Awards

Hundreds of Hollywood’s famous will come together for the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards tonight beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT at the Hollywood Palladium to honor the finest in cinematic and television achievement.

For the event, A&E Network partnered with 360i to give fans a seat among the stars, with a first-of-its-kind Social Centerpiece™ — a custom technological innovation created by 360i and powered by Twitter that lets fans connect directly with celebrities via Twitter and Vine during the live event using the hashtag #CriticsChoice.

Stars can use the Social Centerpiece found on each table at the show to share real-time updates, snap selfies, respond to fans, and engage with critics and other celebs throughout the night. Host Michael Strahan, legendary Super Bowl Champion and co-host of popular morning talk show “LIVE with Kelly and Michael,” will encourage social chatter by calling out fan tweets, issuing social challenges and inviting the at-home audience to present superlatives to the stars, both during the broadcast and commercial breaks.

To promote the event and drum up excitement for the show, 360i and A&E Network created a series of humorous video teasers featuring Strahan called “Mingling with Movie Stars,” and facilitated giveaways to fans from partner entertainment and lifestyle sites.
