HBO Salutes America’s Veterans with The Concert For Valor

November 11, 2014

In honor of Veteran’s Day, HBO, in partnership with Chase and Starbucks, is hosting The Concert For Valor, a first-of-its-kind event designed to bring artists, celebrities and millions of Americans together to honor the courage and sacrifice of veterans, active duty service members and their families. Executive produced by Gary Goetzman, Tom Hanks and Joel Gallen, The Concert For Valor will be held on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. and presented live on HBO at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT tonight.

For the event, HBO partnered with 360i to create a microsite hub, theconcertforvalor.com, where people can go to find out more about the event and watch the entire concert live via Twitter livestream. HBO will also be opening its signal to non-HBO subscribers during the event so that all may view the concert, whether they have an HBO subscription or not.

The event will provide a national stage for Americans to show their gratitude for veterans, service members and their families, and to raise awareness for veterans service organizations dedicated to education, wellness, reemployment and reintegration. The concert will feature live performances from a wide array of talent, including Eminem, Jamie Foxx, Dave Grohl, Metallica, John Oliver, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band among others, as well as special appearances by Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.

Share your #CivilianSalute using #TheConcertForValor on social to show your support, and tune-in at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT tonight to view the concert on HBO or watch the livestream on theconcertforvalor.com.
