AirBnB Launches Experiences, Global Campaign
AirBnB, the popular lodging alternative website and service, has just announced “AirBnB Experiences,” which offer offline activities – such as biking or cooking – in select cities including San Francisco and Paris. At the same time, the company has just launched its first global campaign in digital with commercials on YouTube and initiatives on Facebook and Twitter.
Pinterest-Inspired TV Series Comes to FYI Network
FYI Network and Pinterest are partnering to launch a new home design series called “We’re Moving In.” The new show will follow a group of housemates that use the pinning platform as a source of inspiration to design their home. By using the engaged Pinterest community, FYI is highlighting the creative aspect of the channel as well as its practical use. In related news, Pinterest unveiled its next phase of Promoted Pins with several launch partners, including 360i client Kraft Foods.
Oscar Mayer Asks Fans to Make Michael Bacon More Famous than His Brother
Oscar Mayer has partnered with 360i to promote two “unsung” bacons of the world – Turkey and Michael – by pulling them out of the shadows and into the limelight for the first time ever. The “Unsung Bacon” campaign centers around Oscar Mayer’s quest to get Emmy-Award-winning composer Michael Bacon the most Twitter followers in the Bacon family. In the midst of the chaos that the yearly “Upfronts” can bring for media folks, National Geographic opted to make light of it all by launching the @NatGeoUpfront Twitter handle. WhatsApplebee’s Brings Diners Together with New App
Restaurant chain Applebee’s has hopped onto the anonymous messaging bandwagon with its new chat app, aptly titled “WhatsApplebee’s.” The app allows restaurant-goers to strike up conversations with other diners anonymously. Using iPhone location services, the app tracks people inside the restaurant and gives them the opportunity to send messages to one another as they dine.
Yahoo searches for José Mourinho’s #Special1s
With the World Cup quickly approaching, Yahoo is offering fans a chance to win a training session hosted by Chelsea manager, José Mourinho. Fans can submit a video via Flickr, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube or Vine using the hashtag #Special1s.
